Keep Sweet

Painting, Family, Feelings, Portrait, Religion, Pencil, 50.5x66x4cm
This work is based on lost children pictures and links into my overall theme of identity, When does the path of identity alter? What events in life plant traits of identity onto the soul? Based on my own experiences of being put into care, then fostered into a new family, this work looks to explore the sense of being lost and unable to understand the feelings presented at these times. Lost children pictures hold many emotions, from fear and sadness to hope and joy, some are found because of them, others are sadly not. This duality of emotion from a single image is what fascinates me.
