This is my contemporary interpretation of the three graces. The ear, eye and mouth are symbols of internal beauty and wisdom. At the individual level, eyes, ears and mouth combine to reveal the inner workings of the mind. Those with a beautiful mind will listen very carefully to understand what is being said, they will use their eyes to see very clearly what is going on around them and their talking will be meaningful and beautiful. Whereas others may be more superficially beautiful, they are deaf to the world, seeing only the material aspects of reality with meaningless talking that reveals an empty mind or narrow worldview. At the universal level, this composite naked body represents the evolution of humanity laid bare; past, present and future are intertwined and cannot be separated. How we perceive, interpret, and talk about our past, shapes our present social reality and lays the foundation for the future direction of human culture and human development.
