social liquid-1
If I describe my thinking in a traditional sense, it would be partial, which means that I would be relating it to my surroundings, my life, some influence or I might link it to a particular region or co-relating it to the western world, or space, the universe and so on.
We are thinking now, and this thinking is in the contemporary period of the universe. But I am interested in the times beyond. Imagine, if we occupy this universe and traverse from one Big Bang to another, then what do we see? How many times does the Big Bang repeat? A hundred times? A thousand times? Or one million or billion or trillion times? Imagine how many times was this conscious (Life) born?, One thousand or a thousand -thousand times, I don’t know. So, I am trying to explore this interesting ‘repeated conscious’, consciously.
I firmly believe that if the substance of the Big Bang is repeated and continues to exist, then the ‘repeated conscious’ memories that it carries should also be co-existing. The memories do not stagnate, but are kinetic in the form of waves (or in any other form) in this space (just as Einstein’s gravitational waves). There is a possibility for the brain to capture these waves like an antenna.
It is my conviction and obsession that the time and space’s ‘repeated conscious’ includes customs, art & culture, social issues, life behaviours, philosophies, objects, life, death and so on. In turn, it means that we have repeated Einstein’s, Van Gogh’s and Picasso’s, more common men with different names, different features, different incidents, but their ideas more or less being similar.
My brain is stimulated by this ‘memories’ postulate. May be my ideas are parallel with ‘repeated conscious’ ideas or maybe I use old ideas energized with new ideas or may be my brain is stimulated by the obsession of ‘repeated conscious’. So a question remains unanswered.... which one is truly happening and which all are truthful? Now even my brain knows a tremendous amount of time, then how it reacts, whether its reaction is literal or metaphysical or maybe consciously or unconsciously. I really don't know. It is a closed book, an ‘Enigma’. So I give to the viewer, the enormous time to see repeated ideas of conscious is may push the envelope in contemporary art.
This ‘social liquid’ work of idea has come from my unconscious. What I have given reasons below I guessed. Possibly a lot other reasons in ‘repeated conscious’.
I totally obliterate the culture object's material by with Visual Perception Psychology.
Maybe I was stimulated by ‘repeated conscious’ to influenced by the substance of the universe, it mixes and juxtaposes itself over and over to create life and other energies in the universe. So I create aesthetic energy.
During my childhood days I was greatly inspired by Thomas Edison. I wanted to become a scientist, but I could not do too well in academics. So my thought process of art went the scientific research way throughout in my life, then it became a 'visual science'. For this present concept ‘social liquid’, my scientific research is totally opposite to today’s general scientific research.
My assumptions in my unconscious (perhaps this is another reason from 'reaped conscious') thoughts reveal that our human civilization could not be developed by man-made objects (intelligence). We lost our immunity and happiness. I strongly believe that our intelligence should be on behalf of the nature and not on our self. ( If it is new idea. Has this I created a massage and an incident as mail (waves) to future Big Bongs?)
For this concept, I observed the utility substances in this world, their culture that arose in manifested forms in different ways. May be by social cause and social belief, political or scientific, individual and so on… These things have different priorities, different hierarchies and different functions. I am breaking all these traditional priorities, hierarchies and functions.
Forms of substances are here assumed as properties of Chemistry and as individual atoms. This is when I perhaps realized about the kinds of substances that keep coming on my color palette. Due to congested place (Living life-space in India), many a times I choose these forms of substances as a color and mix with other colors.
So far, contemporary artist used substances, mixed substances character to create the form, but maybe I am looking in a different dimension, I am using the substance’s character to mix with another substance’s character to create again character.
All truths about essence known by us are ultimately grounded in our concepts — that is, in our ways of thinking about things (just like emotions, beliefs....etc) — rather than in things ‘in themselves'. When we fission or fusion in between those essences a new emotion arises. This study has been done by using a mixer here for my concept ‘social liquids’. I ground items like flowers (five types), liver of chicken, paracetamol tablets, sprays from a perfume can, toothpaste, hair from my forehead, municipal water, a skin fairness cream, minced beef, a sachet of shampoo, sunflower oil and few such things. All these items exist together at a microscopic level losing their attributed form. This is the final output, the UNIQUE MATTER in a form less form. These are the new characters emerged and the inside invisible forms means 'chemical compounds' are manifested as a liquid. This liquid has no purpose. It is, as an abstract form of the nature. The uniqueness of the Matter warranted a new name for the same, SOCIAL LIQUIDS, an oeuvre of my art. I strive to experiment the same, a new kind of disgust, an experience to the human mind.
The SOCIAL LIQUIDS are not going to attain any form and would continue to remain in a bowl or in any given shape of the container. These are all Ephemeral Works. My work approach is multidisciplinary; a bunch of characters (substances) are there (performance). My character and viewer’s character are intermingled resulting in an individual character (installation). My intention here is to negotiate with the articulated mediums and to negate the authorial intentions of mainstreaming visual idioms. With this ideological intervention, the end product of my work is exhibited through this video.
