Berg (Mountain)
In the drawing “Berg” (Mountain), five drawings of stones in large scale were drawn on semi-transparent silk paper. Each drawing was then superimposed one upon the other. The monumentality of the subject is exalted by the visual depth created by the several layers of drawings showing through, and contrasts with the fragility of the image carrier.
The work reflects upon the outer and inner nature of things and on the unambigousness of visual perception.
