Ernesto Ferriol uses eroticism as a provocation and as an instrument to criticize aspects of contemporary reality that concern him. His residence in Osaka has allowed him to study and use the resources of the Japanese erotic print, the famous shunga of Hokusai and the traditional ukiyo-e, in works that investigate the Cuban society, or today's international society. Ferriol is a master of drawing and a colorist who at times reminds us of the work of Klimt. Humor, mordacity and beauty are found in his works, which have won awards at home and abroad.
