Sub Rosa II.
I used to paint women and mothers a lot, then I minimized them into a rose – a symbol representing a woman. This painting comes from my collection "Flower Power" and it is significant for its bright red and blue colours. Yet the outcome is very subtle and tender, sprinkled with golden colour. The colour spectrum was inspired by the Virgin Mary – her red robe, blue cloak with gold trim and a pink veil. The name is the latin phrase "sub rosa" and indicates that the conversation will remain secret.
This is an original artwork and it goes with signed Certificate of Authenticity. Ready to hang unframed if preferred.
