The photograph was made using an experimental photographic approach, which is based on the technique of overexposure. No post-production was used except for color optimization. The name of the photograph, (In)Self Portraits, stems from the will to represent the opposition between the emotional state of an individual and their outward appearance. In an attempt to unveil the contrast between real emotions and exteriorized ones, “In” Self draws an honest self portrait and symbolizes the social gag to which we are subject.
