WHERE IS THE LOVE?
The cause that triggers any kind of conflict is always the same: absence of Love. Love meant in its most abstract and absolute sense. Love in all its forms. Understanding, Equality, Respect, Compassion, Honesty, Parity, Benevolence towards others and towards the Nature. What happened to these values? Seems that the human organism is nourished only of selfishness, hatred, discrimination, anger, hostility, lust for power. Many aspire to individual well-being at any cost, even at the expense of that of others. We are numbed by the media, institutions and the market that cleverly hide us the truth. We lose sight the Love. Human values are no more assimilated but transformed into residual substance, discarded and evacuated like excrements. Deprived of these essential nutrients the organism reaches levels of lethal toxicity, it rushes inexorably toward the disintegration. Inevitable is malaise, depression, the moral disintegration of the individual and the community, the conflict.
The artistic gesture intends to identify and isolate such pandemic and chronic intolerance to basic moral values. Choose waste as absolute subject, intervening physically on it according to a minimal pictorial gesture next to the writing, means confer on it a poetic sublimation that rises it to new and powerful vehicle of communication. It means to try to synthesize an antidote with which is hoped to stimulate individual and collective research aimed at reaching of the awareness, at the discovery and the re-assimilation of human values, fundamental nutrients for a healthy society.
