Portrait vs loss of consciousness description & MRI scan
Surgeons often compare tumours to fruit to better explain to patients their size and shape. Peter's was compared to a grape (top). A medical description of a loss of consciousness that Peter suffered in 2013 (bottom left). And his scan from 2016 showing no recurrence (bottom right).
The Future
The threat of recurrence is always looming and statistically highly likely. Glioblastoma multiforme grade 4 is considered a terminal disease, it is assumed that patients will eventually die from the condition. However, there is a small percentage of people that have survived for 5 years and more.
