I wanted to depict the tight relationships between the Earth and the Human Beings, as our survival depends on the health of the planet.
The rope that the woman pulls from soil recalls this link of dependence, as a kind of umbilical cord.
The wires remind the placenta. The net used for this work not only makes the picture material, but has also a symbolical value, as it pictures the ecosystem as a fabric that can be teared out.

Ci si aggrappa con forza, senza maschere nè vestiti, all'unica certezza con una sintonia ancestrale, come fosse un cordone ombelicale, a quella terra che ci vede nascere e ci sa accogliere come una madre paziente.
