Spatial Sea was an ephemeral light installation that responded to the concept of creating a sensation of water in the absence of water. The work used mediated light projection to challenge the visitors’ perceptions in space, immersing them in an environment of fragile topologies and thresholds of a sensory immediacy. The audience was invited to create space and explore the possibilities of the immaterial language of an empirical architecture formed by their own movements as well as the poetics of a historical site.
