Hard-boiled Wonderland

Hard-boiled Wonderland

This work is based on the trip to Europe: Luzern, Rome, Amsterdam, Venice, Austria, Prague, London, Munich, and Paris.
The first layer, drawn with black ink, is portrayal of architectures from these countries; I reshaped its form by distorting and exaggerating.
The second layer, drawn with sepia ink, is depiction of watermill, windmills, clock mechanism, and bicycle wheels and chains. These elements well describes their uniqueness of culture.
Finally, the drawings of transportation, bridges, and railroads are drawn with blue and brown ink. They are connecting the first and second layer since the cities are connected with public transportation and bridges.
