PHYSIS - i codici dell'invisibile

The installation presented is the result of a very complex research that begins with the study of the effects of long natural exposures of media (canvases, irons).

The supports are left for days or months at the bottom of rivers or lakes for 1/3 of their height , so that "nature", organic and inorganic, over time can act by the elements, in their surfaces.
The knowledge of these effects of the elements on the media has led the artist to be able to predict and choose, depending on the place, the climate, the time of exposure, the material of the media ... so that we can get to "paint" with the Reality, without, however, coarcing the free flow of events except in a "mental" way, deciding exactly where, how and when, and deliberately leaving the "active", "worker" part, to nature. The artist acts as a director, an engineer, acting externally on creation. Nature from actress / worker.

Observing matter on the canvas (naturography) is like seeing a small big-bang on which the artist can intervene, but only indirectly.
When the artist completes the process, the media is removed from the training site and resinated to preserve the exact state. Finally mounted, some, in light boxes with video of the creation phase.
Such research lays many expressive forms of the 1900s, as well as, of course, painting, environmental art, photography, informal material and above all the conceptual. I chose a new name for these works: naturografie.
