Moon

Here is a painting presenting a scene of love between a man and a woman - they are soulmates made in heaven. The painting speaks of love under a moon-lit sky. The moon is the heart of the painting, symbolizing love and romance according to the many great literature and cultures throughout the history of the world.

Furthermore, there are the calm tranquil waters of the sea in the painting which symbolizes emotions and feelings through which love emerges.

One can also see that I painted a rocky hill. The two figures sit side by side on this rough terrain. The message that I try to convey here is that love - true love, may not always be bright, golden and rosy, which is symbolized here by the rocky hill. However, despite this, if love is true, it has the power to conquer all such rocky challenges and difficulties that any two people in love may go through. Thus such an everlasting truth has clearly been shown symbolically in the painting by placing the two figures on the top of the rocky hilltop.

I, as a human being and an artist, believe strongly in the truth of true love, despite the many cynics there may exist regarding this issue. With a good balance of both idealism and realism, true love is not only a possibility, but a necessity. Such is love - the most powerful force which has driven me and inspired me, as always as it does, to paint this painting.
