The Luxury of Age
Afgana is the celebrated photograph taken by Steve McCurry in 1984 in a Peshawar refugee camp, published on the cover of National Geographic Magazine magazine in June 1985, which had a tremendous success. The little girl in the picture, little more than a little girl, was surrounded by a red shawl shaved here and there, hiding her brown hair, and had disturbing green eyes that dipped in silence. The girl caught and continues to capture the attention of millions of people. The girl, a profuga dressed in torn clothes, however, had a luxury. A priceless luxury: the luxury of age. Luxury that allowed her to appear in her great beauty, without makeup, without ornaments, without any "disguise". Her eyes and her youth adorn her. McCurry's shot took a moment.
Who would not want to return to the age of luxury, Return To Age paraphrasing with the name of a luxurious brand.
