This image started out as another artist’s drawing of tree bark. After almost completely finishing the drawing, though, the original artist decided she no longer liked the image she created. So, I took it, wondering how I could “destroy” the image, like the first artist had wanted. In nature, fire destroys wood. So, I decided to keep the base colors from the original drawing, but manipulate the shapes within it to create a fiery essence, burning the previously present picture of tree bark.
