KING MIDAS

KING MIDAS

Sculpture, Portrait, Metal, 94x119x15.2cm
The king Midas was made with eleven layers of
aluminium sheets printed with the “Die sublimation”
process.
These parts were cut manually and also with a cnc laser machine.
All these different parts are assembled and
they together create a sculpture 47”high 37”large an10”deep.
The mask and the sword are removable,
The mask who sticks to the sculpture with magnets
can be inverted to give a different aspect to the sculpture.
The sword has two different sides.
To achieve that work I collected and sampled 45
different golden textures .
This sculpture was not made with pixels but only with
vectorisation draws.

This particular technic allows to rescale this work six hundred times.
