Paesaggi dell'anima 2
This picture is part of a series inspired by the landscapes and territories of Southeast Asia, places we love and we both visited several times. In particular, this somewhat dreamlike image reminds us of the terraces of Guangxi, southern China. Nature is drawn by man in an extremely geometric way; every glimpse is in reality a work of art.
Paesaggi dell'anima 3
This picture is part of a series inspired by the theme of anthropic territory; an area almost obsessively drawn, the fruit of the hard and constant work of man. These landscapes in Southeast Asia, geometrically rhythmed by the terraces of rice fields, seem to be drawn from above; an immense work of art produced instead of a single individual, from an entire millennial culture.
Arborea
The picture is spread over two different planes. Through a filter, in the foreground, generated by a complicated intricate curve that evokes a plant interlacing of branches, the anthropic nature, in the background, is manifested with bright colors; are the fields, meadows, waters, in all the chromatic richness of the natural world transformed by man and here enclosed and idealized in geometric shapes. One can even imagine being the spectator watching an Italian garden through a wrought iron gate. The theme of nature "naturans" and "naturata" often recurs in our artistic production.
Non è un paese per vecchi
The vision of an imaginary country whose homes are detached from the mountains as prisms in the sunlight that determines the color variations. An almost "mineral" landscape that encloses in itself the silence and complexity of nature but also the mute dialogue with the man who lives there. A dream vision in which rational dimensions and geometric laws are lost. The panel consists of three panels
Nordica
This "three-dimensional" geometric composition suggests in the observer the idea of a Nordic urban context, both for the plumbean tones and for the presence of numerous acute angles. The design is repetitive and obsessive and extends ideally beyond the boundaries of the picture. Vulums generated by the extrusion of the flat figures, induce an ambiguous perception of the set, to allow a reading of the picture even upside down without distorting the sense.
Maps:Ping'An
This picture is part of a series inspired by the landscapes and territories of Southeast Asia, places we love, and we both crossed it several times. This abstract image represents, with a synthetic language that almost resembles the decoration of a fabric, the terraces of Guangxi, southern China, in the Ping'an area, a small mountain center, as the title recalls. Nature is drawn by man in an extremely geometric way; every glimpse is in reality a work of art made by a laborious and ingenious people.
Paesaggi dell'anima 1
Plowed fields, meadows and streams create a "texture" of bright colors and strong color contrasts that evoke the landscapes of our memory.
