Today's women

Tenacious women
mothers ready to defend
children in danger
scarred women
mistreated, raped
in perennial struggle
they win fears
tough fighters
queens of the day
stars that shine at night
a knot in the throat to avoid screaming
future to conquer
fairs climb mountains
dignity in a world of falsehood
they wield the sword of honor
respect and dignity
