LSD last supper drama

Painting, Religion, Mixed technique, 360x120x7cm
The last Supper" by Leonardo Da Vinci (originally set in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan) captures just a moment of the last evening in the life of Jesus Christ. Still today there is debate on many aspects of The Last Supper, such as the mysteries about the roles of Maria Magdalena and/or John the Baptist. Among the famous frescoes painted by Leonardo da Vinci, the Sicilian artist Agatino Raciti has chosen to represent this brief intense moment in the history of Christianity. One of the important moments of the Last Supper is when Jesus Christ told "Some of you will betray me". But in the painting Agatino Raciti turned his attention to the instant immediately following the words of Jesus. He deals with the moment in which everybody is bawling, screaming, capturing the different reactions of the Apostles. Hence a chaotic situation full of anger, fury and fear, whereas the gesticulation and facial expressions of the Apostles conveys their sense of astonishment, providing also a sexual and emotional moment. And painting "Last supper drama" [...] Mr. Raciti enhances a very sensual and intelligent reinterpretation of Leonardo's masterpiece. Jesus portrayed as a jet-black bird who brings misfortune and sacrifices himself. Besides the Apostles are depicted as aroused characters full of sexuality and suppressed drives. "
