Mono no aware (物の哀れ), literally "the pathos of things", and also translated as "an empathy toward things", or "a sensitivity to ephemera", is a Japanese term for the awareness of impermanence.

"Mono no aware (物の哀れ)" was created and textured using 3d computer graphics software and rendered using a rendering engine that uses global illumination algorithms.

sorry...that's obvious..I was trying to relate the timescale of the small linear components to the overall shape/organism..as in the dissolution and replacement of small integral components like crystallites in bio-secreted carbonate shells that can be even more ephemeral (where the overall form persists)..nonetheless your concept is great!

fascinating.. yes your creation seems to have both an overall memorial component and a short-distanced (statistical?) one contributing to its nature..marvellous
