L'Acrobata

L'Acrobata

Painting, Vices, Memory, Oil, 50x70x2cm
"A reality was not given to us and it is not there, but we must do it, if we want to be: and it will never be one for all, one forever, but one that is continuous and infinitely changeable". Pirandello writes about life, underlining how things change continuously, requiring adaptation on the part of the human being; and Paca Ronco seems to want to investigate this reality through his painting the Acrobat, which highlights how each of us, within this continuous evolution, must wear a mask to be able to resist in a world that does not accept the truth, but only the fiction. And in this world we are all acrobats in the balance, with the will to make sense of our evolutions; sometimes, however, we must be content to be spectators, like the man from behind, who seems to wait for his entrance on the scene without knowing if and when this will happen. Despite the chromatic virtuosity of Paca, which seems to cover the scene of an underlying happiness, the melancholy truth becomes evident at a more careful reading: the struggle to participate in life always puts us at stake, but we must be aware that the show will not always take the direction we would like: it is the task of the human being to plan the path and adapt to be able to feel like a protagonist, like a real acrobat "in balance over madness".
