La porta

The work is part of the series "The Walls of Time". It was a door in the 50s, now eradicated from its own "wall" and from the house in which it lived coming into the hands of Milena Nicosia to be part of a story, to be read and interpreted. It is an opening and a passage between different temporal dimensions, container and casket of images, it is a compass of time, closed, impassable, incomprehensible in full and above all changeable over time, what will happen inside the work will be part of it in essential way.
There are "figures of dust" on the glass soiled by powdered pigments and subsequently drawn and engraved. There is a "figure of dust" behind the glass, which emerges from the bottom, an alien figure who looks at us, caged in his mind.
"The door on the wall of time" comes from real visions, from fleeting appearances behind the transparency of a glass. The pictorial sensation of that real image turns into an unreal image thanks to the interventions made on that transparent filter, the plot of a story without answers is thickened.
The work is three-dimensional even if on the wall.
