Silence

Silence

The paintings result from the re-elaboration of the artist’s electroencephalogram (EEG) data, collected during an experiment.
The data that the works are based on relate to the electrophysiological activity of the brain during the processing of different types of sensory stimuli. The experiment consisted of three phases, subsequently transposed into the triptych: the response to a visual stimulus (without sound), the response to a sound stimulus constructed according to the parameters of ‘consonance’ and finally, the response to a sound stimulus constructed according to the parameters of ‘dissonance.’
