The work of Bruno balances between painting and sculptural art. Each of his works is the result of a slow 'self-challenging' process towards the essence. Lines are drawn and scratched deep in the layered matter, even through the canvas. Within the dynamics of building up and breaking down the different layers, 'vivid' paint skins are created. The products of these processes are masks, identities with an own name and history, visible in the multi-layered structure. Without the classical framework, they stand as an object on its own. Cracks and holes introduce the contextual background into the work as a variable element of the overall picture.
