Letizia Ardillo- Il luogo della forma

The work is part of a cycle of works carried out by the artist in 2018. The triptych entitled "The place of form" represents our senses, eyes, mouth-nose, ears. Man is a micro-universe, an infinitesimal image of an infinite cosmos. An explosion of abstract forms and signs of ancient scriptures mix with each other giving rise to the profile of an eye, the place of seeing. Man has the opportunity to understand and see thanks to the sight of his eyes. The work is inspired by an ancient text of Jewish mysticism (The Book of Formation) which relates the letters to the parts of the human body and to the senses. The composition was made with the technique of collage and graphite on Fabriano paper
