Onda Rossa (Red wave) - Oil on canvas 60x80 cm. 2021

The giant wave that hangs over our lives. Scary but necessary to grow. It is crisis, it is change. It is questioning the status quo. It is doubtful, it is knowledge. Crises that generate terror. It's denial if you pretend they aren't there. It is courage if you take them head on. It's genius if you canalize yourself and go with the flow. It is change to be in the world. It is growth. It is dialectical. It is love for each other. It is a human relationship. It is doing something for yourself and for each other.

And after the wave that overwhelms, there comes the stillness that is not monotony, static, anesthesia, but is satisfaction, fulfillment, conquest ... it is not affective flatness or vice versa euphoria, but it is human realization.

Being human means being in relationship with each other. It means collectivity. Knowing how to face your own waves means knowing how to face collective crises as well. Take the good. Because the community is made up of individuals who react and influence each other. And the giant wave that frightens becomes a bath of vitality that activates, if faced in dialectic with the world. A red wave of vitality that overwhelms the crystalline sea and hangs over the layered city. But if you face it with indifference or fear, or if you face it alone, it annihilates and becomes more and more insurmountable.

The wave that breaks on the city collides with other waves of other beaches, creating synergistic or contrasting currents, or swirls that suck. Or the small waves are canalized into the same current creating a life energy.

The red wave no longer destroys, but fertilizes and allows the plants to grow luxuriantly. It becomes nourishment for life. Become affections and possibilities.
