The painting expresses the awkwardness of the cohabitation of natural and artificial elements. The sky, hills, and leaves stand cheek to cheek with iron, rust and cement.
Is it the landscape which forbids entry or is it Man who excludes a pact with nature from his life? Once again however this clash brings out a mysterious aesthetic harmony when seen through a watchful eye and spasmodic obsession of vision.
