Rack

Rack

Rack, like Equilibrium in blue, is nothing more than a series of vertical strokes scratched on a smudgy inflamed, background. It is not representational of anything in terms of a landscape or other but its essence is no doubt inspired by the striking lines of the fish traps that line the shallow coastal waters around the shores of Bahrain where I live. A particular set in an area between the end of the airport runway, a power station and rampant reclamation for new residential developments speak of more sustainable times and of a purer environment, one that's now completely lost to progress.

For me there is something in this horiztontal, parallelist theme that is speaking some kind of allegorical, ecological warning.

Massimo, what you perceive is an acurate assessment, and, in terms of what I put into the work of myself, I appreciate your wise encouragement. My intention, beyond a sub-conscious expression of my own muteness, is to respond through my art to the distress of the Earth which has been crying a silent scream for some time. Your English is v. good and perfectly expresses your comprehension of the the concept. Grazie mille

your works seem wounds of the earth, remnants of past lives. Mouth sealed. censorship. mutism.a silent scream! I would try to see beyond this closure. I would love to see your work really and not trough a monitor. This is what I feel When I look at this work. thanks a lot for your comment and good luck.
Massimo. P.S. sorry for my bad english.
