'The Supposed...' deliberately suggests an anthropomorphic narrative through the movement and supposed interplay between abstract geometric forms. I am intrigued with Michael Fried's theory concerning the theatre of minimal art which he discusses in his 1967 essay 'Art and Objecthood'. In my short animation I wanted to explore the idea of allowing the viewer to project their own interpretation and understanding onto the work. This has both fed into my research on participation and an interest in minimalist aesthetics as another method of developing a relationship between viewer and artwork.
