Creating a humanistic presence, whether that is through the means of color, or the means of sound, or moving image is a beautiful thing to make. I continued my exploration and modification of that particular interest through this piece. The work that came out was forward in its presentation, being that it is an arm that I have painted. When up close however, layers of translucent color parade the substrate and could potentially allow one to transcend beyond where they stand and into the shallow space of texture that I have made. It then becomes more than just an object on a wall, and more than a window. I wished for it to have a feeling within itself, I thought the simple task of constriction upon a human characteristic within its own space could provide that.
