Matera, habitations troglodytes

Matera, habitations troglodytes

Painting, Architecture, Landscape, Oil, 80x100cm
As far as I can remember, creation has always been part of my life…
At the time, I am especially searching hour I can show all shades of lights in my paintings.
It is an exploration of the more basic colours like a come-back to what is essential to express.
These paintings are telling the story of Matera, a village of south Italia, hung and overlaped to the mountain.
I’ve drawned with a knife, touch by touch always wanting to stay the nearest of different shades of grey.
This creating a special mood full of softeness and plenitude.
