The Rock (from Domestic Alchemy series)

This is part of a series of 10 works, which were made for an exhibition and project with Kate Mackay, for the Edinburgh Fine Art Library. The paintings are all in acrylic, with pencil and Posca pen writing and marks. They centre around the idea of domesticity/ daily tasks being a means of transformation: the act of focussing one's presense intensely in each moment, allowing all things to interconnect, and facilitating transcendence.
