Part of the series 'Promises of Silence', IF I PROMISE TO BE SILENT CAN I GO WITH YOU PLEASE is composed of 14 small fluorlight boxes and tells the story of our need as human beings to be loved, understood, cherished and cared for. The image itself is that of a small girl in Nepal who had been a victim to sexual trafficking. She was forced into prostitution at the age of 6 and at 9 was now getting the much help she needed. She seemed to want to let go of her past, to cure and yet every fibre in her body just wanted to be loved... by anyone. She wanted to be a part of a family. Anyone's family. "If I promise to be silent can I go with you please" is an ode to Kanti... the girl from the Kathmandu Valley.
