Partial Thoughts

From its rapid inception to its tumultuous ending, I never fully thought anything through for this relationship until things were blowing up in my face.The relationship ended so drastically that I was psychologically traumatized.During the period of psychological disarray, I discovered many things about myself one of them being a diagnosis with Unipolar Depression (a lesser form of Bipolar Depression).I took digital photographs of segments of my body and a models body to better connect with occasional feelings that I've had my entire life of misplacement, misjudgement and misunderstandings.The situation left me with a deeper understanding of myself and my life but I turned my back towards him and all of the turmoil it caused.I made the sound piece "Unipolar" to accompany the photos in my effort to blur the lines between photographer and videographer.The images are projected onto a wooden door that is split down the middle lengthwise and supported by chains that hang from the ceiling and attach to the top of the door allowing the bottom of the door to rest on the floor.The sound comes out of speakers that are hung in a strategic manner for an optimal sonic and highly emotional experience within the video installation.
