RAMI FOSSILI

RAMI FOSSILI

Installation, Architecture, Landscape, Wood, 1500x500x100cm
The installation "RAMI FOSSILS" implemented in a field surrounding the artificial lake in the Park of Matese - Capriati al Volturno, is a great machine feast of approximately m X 5.00 m. 15.00 x 1.00, built with natural materials such as wooden poles and branches reminiscent of a fossil found in the Parco del Matese, specifically in the area of Pietraroja. Part of a large ecosystem of transition between sea and land, 105 million years ago Pietraroja was a small lagoon where the geological and environmental conditions have allowed the preservation of marine organisms. Over time the sites have evolved and have become sedimentary deposits and rocks of marine organisms and terrestrial fossils.
The installation is inspired by a fossil found in marine Matese that emerges from the ground-storage sites and requires the eyes of those who want to explore and discover its history and the birth of Italy from the sea ..
The installation, integration with the environment tends to enhance the site and at the same time to return to the landscape quality.
