Storybook

In this piece of work I have used an English tablecloth to represent 1960's British Culture and a traditional Hungarian tablecloth to represent Hungarian culture. The painted images on the right represent a young couple dreaming of living and working in the West whilst under communist rule in the 1950's. The images on the left represent their reality of living their dream in the west after their enforced exile in 1956.
