(Tele)vision inside

Opal plexi light-box, neon inside. The images (frontal and both sides) are printed on polycarbonate.
To present my work here, I have unfolded the box to give the whole view of each side of the box: left, frontal, right.
We are living in the historical period that seems to be the climax of technological development and of the power of mankind on earth, on nature, on the “world outside”, which we human beings try to manipulate (genetically or not...), being convinced of our final success.
From our normal viewpoint, watching 3D films through suitable glasses or living all-round virtual experiences thanks to electronic extensions of our body are science-fiction stuff come true... but what if we were retracing the way that human being has covered to get a sense of himself as an individual and at the same time - through the filter of senses - to create his/her own world but also its limits?
The box that makes the image visible thanks to light is the representation of the microcosm which human being perceives as his/her own reality and which is just a light-box, a plate on which images can be changed as much as you like, from the viewpoint of those who are watching from outside the box.
