The Terminal
Diptych. Opal plexiglass light-boxes, each one illuminated along the four sides. The images (the frontal ones and those on the left and the right sides) are printed on transparent vinile applied on slabs of polycarbonate.
To present my work here, I have unfolded the boxes to give the whole view of each part of the box: 1) the two boxes as they appear frontally 2) the two boxes unfolded, with the images on the left side (cm. 12 x 77), on the frontal side (cm 100 x 75), on the right side (cm 12 x 77).
This work, just as the other ones I have proposed to Premio Celeste and Expectations, belongs to the series "Gateways", to which belong a number of works technically different (there are light-boxes, photos inserted in plexi closed with bolts, digital prints on canvas). They have in common the idea of "gateway" either as physical crossover or evolutional changing point.
