Prayer mat

In Prayer Mat Simone Cametti space is subjected to an intervention that alters the shape without changing its structure. The artist works on the floor, double, with a carpet of more than two thousand small lead tiles that cover the entire surface and, thanks to the light, helping to change the vision reshaping the perception of space within the room.
Lead is one of the materials on which the artist has been working on amendments to which is subject over time and its inevitable deterioration. In this work the matter is not taken in its stages of decay but rather in the potential that the physical changes and unexpected color registers can make to development.
E 'given birth to the task of designing the space, the metal is a medium which in its turn reflects different shades of colors, giving an interpretation of movement and discoloration.
Prayer is a prayer carpet mat intended as a place of thought and reflection. In small pleats lead drawn by the light everyone can see their own path, a journey.
