Installation, Human figure, Plastic, 180x180x180cm
The work recounts the relationship between the interior and exterior worlds, between inside and outside, between man and the environment, by means of a composition that expresses the visible manifestation of these ties. It is composed of a closed chamber, a hyperbaric environment, with trasparent perimeters that protect the human life inside it. The human body, stretched out on the ground, is the focal point of the composition: its breath, generated by a breathing apparatus, embodies the union and continuity of internal life and external reality. Thus we see a pulmonary rhythm as a passage in which the dilatation of muscles gives rise to the intimate relationship between the parts and gives life to that interpretation of elements, visible in all that exists.
