This 'minimalist' portrait strips down any connotations of gender, culture, creed, age & indeed skin colour. As we observe society today we are lead by the media, to accepting superficial standards of beauty. The painting "Zen" allows us as the observer/audience to self-reflect on our own personal ideals of human aesthetics qualities & beauties.
