When a Fountain is a Source of Anxiety - Quando una Fontana è Fonte di Ansietà

The Horse is facing the Fountain, like Man facing an Unknown, Incomprehensible World. The first reaction is one of fear and rejection. Will he go forward or not? For the moment, the Horse is rising on its hind legs, aggressive but also afraid. This moment of uncertainty can last an infinite time...it can last the whole length of a human life! That particular moment of anxiety that I wanted to show in this painting.
