Sinusoidal Perfume

The sculptor Pomponio Gaurico described the implications of the discovery of perspective in his treatise of 1504, De Sculptura. "Each body in whatever position it is, finds itself necessarily in one or another location. Since this is so, we must consider which was there first. And inasmuch as it is inevitable that the location was there before the object placed on it, it is the location that must be constructed first."
