"Senza Titolo"
Like the images I use, they are transferred from reality to the memory of the video camera, from the television image to the photographic shot, from the print to the human optic filter, profoundly altering their structures.
On a conceptual level, it comes across as a kind of fractal, by definition a geometric object of which the structure is repeated on different scales. The notion of the fractal is a decisive one in understanding the sense of infinite repetition, of the circularity of the path that all things follow, and which, if fragmented, may be shown to be made up of other parts the follow the same pattern. Like every event, it is determined so as to bring about an “ad infinitum” transformation, and the project sets out to create a dimension of continuity that gives the spectator the illusion of ubiquity.
