Nostalgia

This work is one of a series of sculptures that I’ve been working on for some years now. Were I have tried to find the modernity and originality within a traditional way, as figuration. Not only in the aspect of the sculpture, but also in the material, being this work made with resin and cement.
Nostalgia, wants to be a symbol of this era, where men have to live their roots, family, and everything he knows, to try and find something better. Being this a better job, a recognition wish, to escape from a castrating government, or even from war.
In this sculpture you can see, the strength of who throws himself to the unknown, and works to find the best way, with the loneliness and emptiness that this leaving what he knows means.
