My attempt was to tell a part of the epic story of D-Day and the subsequent Liberation of France from the tyranny of Nazi Germany. It is also a recognition of the heroism of the Allied Forces and the enduring gratitude and friendship that exists between the French and the Americans some 66 years later. Based on my visit to Normandy for the 65th Anniversary of D-day.
