The Eternal Feminine, Untitled

“The Eternal Feminine, Untitled” links the social, cultural and religious codes of our contemporary society with the hidden feminine aspect of the male-dominated religions. The photograph constructs the paradigmatic model of the Eternal Feminine which combines the myth of mother, virgin, homeland, nature, etc. The woman is presented as the fundamental prototype, the Mother-Matrix – the origin and ultimate end of life, as the eternity of space, as the tree of life, as man’s missing opposite pole. The image give a physical dimension to the woman’s tedious daily routines depicting vividly the relationship between love and hatred, pain and sex, life and death.
