Fractured Hull

I have created representational endangered species through the use of repeated wood forms held together through magnets. For this piece the wood scales allow for interaction. As humans we are designed to assemble and rebuild our world when it doesn't fit or vision for good or bad. The shell of this sea turtle is all held together by the use of magnets creating a puzzle for humans to interact to either create or destroy the hull.
