Freecanvas
This composition ad improptu
create a pictorial gesture equivalent to the musical one,
they both work together towards a kind of center
- Not physical -
where the work is done,
the perfect center between visible and invisible.
Here the gesture is more than informal,
but serves a dual task: painting form and shape the sound.
This requires the use of live performing body as a sensing device:
We hear with the whole body, we apply a physical pressure on the instrument and brushes in response to each other, we "dance" on the canvas and on the instrument the dynamic of music that lives in us.
We proceed thus to "raise the eye," to play the distance between the two performers.
It's more like a mandala, constructed through a process very specific and significant, but destined to remain as a - posteriori.
The same observer, spectator and listener,
is invited to investigate the visible in this unity of feeling and movement.
Freecanvas produces the cohesion of the painting itself, and music.
